Hi

As promised photos of our cake decorating. We did two weeks, and we decorated cup cakes one week, then the next week we did biscuits. It was great fun, we all loved it and many thanks to the two lovely ladies that were our instructors and to Edna of Van Mae Cakes of Ermington.

Hi All

Just a little update to tell you about our craft over the past couple of weeks. We've been making amazing pavapol creations, from ballet dancers and gymnasts to little vampire inspired things and butterflies. Dee is creating trees and fairies.

This week we did clay work, Hayley making a small box, and Alison and myself making (me attempting) chimes. Might be a little dull noise, but definitely not irritating.

Remember, last week is Word of Mouth and catch up craft.

Cheers

New Session Times

Kissingpoint Cottage is run during the NSW school terms.

Mums n Bubs: Tuesday, 10.30-12, I make the tea and coffee and we always have a supply of chocolate biscuits

Playgroup: Wednesday, a piece of fruit per person and child

Craft and Creche: Friday, 10.30-12.30.

Catch Up

Hi

Sorry it's been a while since I last blogged, have been a little snowed under, though, that's no excuse.

We were trying to run the Giant Garage Sale last week and postponed due to rain, then was going to do it tomorrow, but alas, the weather has beaten us again, so it's now cancelled till next term.

In Craft we've been doing pavapol, and loving it. The girls have been so amazing with their ideas and what they are achieving. I will put up some photos soon.

We are now getting ready for the end of year stuff, and of course, early next term the Trivia Night.

Our trial of Mums n Bubs on the Tuesday and Playgroup on the Wednesday has proved great, and so now that's the way we go.

I will get better at this and blog more frequently.

Cheers
Samantha

Hi All

Just letting you all know that a few things are happening and a couple of things have changed.

First is that we have swapped the days of Mums n Bubs and Playgroup, same times, just that Playgroup is now on the Wednesday and Mums n Bubs is on the Tuesday. Sorry if it's inconvenienced any of you, but it seems to work just a little better this way.

One way it works better is the the new mums being able to attend the month Mums n Bubs at Rhodes Shopping Centre for free coffee and guest speaker.

Also, I noted in a previous post that we're doing a first aid course. The course is over a two day period of Wednesday 17 March and Thursday 18 March, please contact me asap if you are interested in doing the course.

We will be doing a giant garage sale next term as well as first aid.

Also, on the 23 of March the Cottage is having an OPEN DAY. So if you haven't been before, come along and have a look, if you haven't been for a while, come along and say hello, and if you're a regular, bring along a friend.

Cheers

Just and update at what we're attempting over the next few months.

We will be doing a First Aid Course in March, if you are interested let me know. It will be over two days with childcare. The course is subsidised by the Cottage so it's the cheapest you will find it. If you want it/need it call me.

We have also swapped Tuesday and Wednesday sessions (Playgroup and Mum's n Bub's). We have lots of new babies and this seems to suit most.

So if you haven't been able to attend in the past, but now might be interested in either, let me know.

Also, there's the Easter Raffle, so if you are a member, pls remember to bring in an egg.

And, I will be organising the self defence course for next term, as well as a garage sale.

Thanks for your understanding

Cheers
Samantha
Today was a sad day for the Cottage, Norma left after working here for well 14 years. She has been the lovely lady who watched all the kids while the Mum's had a change to get a break for two hours each week.

Her patience and understand of kids, and our unique lifestyles had our kids putty in her hands, and they all loved her.

She will be missed.
